好賭波夜總會主音吉他手阿發(fā)（許冠文 飾）荷包羞澀，賭馬去財，房租拖欠，還被夜總會趕了出來。在無處可睡的情形下，他和好友阿財（黎小田 飾）借宿女友家，偶然間卻目睹了機械手臂的黑幫頭目油炸螃蟹屠殺對手沙皮狗的場面。
阿發(fā)憑借小聰明暫時躲過油炸螃蟹的毒手，但卻無法逃脫被追殺的厄運。萬般無奈之下，他男扮女裝加入阿財負(fù)責(zé)的歡樂女子樂隊，并隨團遠赴泰國演出。途中他邂逅了樂隊主唱叮叮（鐘楚紅 飾）但由于油炸螃蟹派出的殺手存在，這段旅程不光充滿浪漫，還滿是驚險……
